Final plug for gigs next week

Okiesss... so my gig going is starting up again on Monday with Viva City as part of the Academy Live tour at O2 Academy 2. That's Monday night at 7pm. Viva City are due on stage at about 10pm. Should be good. This'll be time number 4 for me and they are not to be missed.
Wednesday night... The Cribs (with Johnny Marr) at Newcastle uni Students Union. That starts at 7pm also. Again, be there, they are a good live act.
Also, little ska kids, Underground Heroes are playing The End bar on 22nd October. I don't know whether it's pay on the door as I can't find a ticket seller for it. I haven't seen these guys yet but their songs really are vary catchy. Expect them to get big. (I said that last year and they still are very well known).
As I'm going back home for the weekend I probably won't be promoting the first two shows again before they happen so be there.

And I thought £20 was a lot of money...

I've just been looking on eBay for 2 Mando albums I haven't yet managed to procure when a came across this little gem. It appears as being a very rare homemade Demo album of ten songs, made by the band themselves. It is priced at £499.99 but is open to higher bids.
I remember why The Hives demo tape was up for sale. It cost about £20. And that was even rarer than the Mando one, which was given out at early shows, before they were signed to a label. So where does the high price come from?
That's a question that I myself am unable to answer, and I have no idea. I spent about half an hour working on a answer to find it was probably just a decision made by the seller, which it probably was. I can't see it having cost £499.99 which he first got the demo which means he is looking for a great profit. Back in 2000/2001 (the origination of the demo), the average CD cost approximately £10, which is about the same as nowadays. The dealer is making it seem rarer than it is by giving it a VERY high price and if it ever gets sold at that price, which I'm sure it probably will as some person will be crazy enough to buy it for that, or more, then this guy will be rich and the other person will be happy with a rare Mando Diao CD which they could have got for a tenner in the first place. I wouldn't really call it a waste, maybe they were too young to experience Mando Diao live the first (or so) time around. This type of memorabilia is different to the demo tape put off by The Hives, as the latter wasn't really released. It was just an imprint that they made music back then, in 1994. They never really wanted it out there which made it even more special to those people who did manage to get a copy. Over the years there has been fan requests to give the demo a full release but to no avail.
So, head off to eBay, look at the lovely Mando demo and go buy debut album Bring 'Em In.

I'm officially mad.
I'm supposed to be thinking of something to review for my 'Writing for Publication' unit but I've got until next Friday for my seminar by which point I will have been to a total of two more gigs. I might think about Inglourious Basterds too. That was a mint film, especially a particular bit near the ending... It beat Valkerie anyway. So that's my ideas sorted...
My last lecture today involved us watching CSI Miami which showed us that in Miami everyone has a gun and they have crap pool parties. Also it always seems to be sunny. Apparently it's one of the biggest American shows. It's not that great really. And this is going by one episode.
I have to also read a news story from this week and see how the key elements of journalism effect it... this is stuff like telling the truth and be interesting as well as relevant. So, ok I never learnt that yet, I had to check my notes. Just to show I do listen...
Anyway, weeks 5 and 6 are going to be fantastic as I shall be visiting my territory - the radio.

Just been trying to figure out my uni timetable ready for startage tomorrow, which should be fun.
I am getting quite ill like which isn't too good, no one likes being ill.

Hello kiddies. I'm back online as I now have internetz sooooo expect to hear more from my (sad) life haha. It's not that bad really.
I start uni on Monday which should be fun, my class seem nice and I've made some nice friends already which is good.
Today I met the Ant and the Dec at a book signing at Waterstones which was fun, I have photos on my camera taken by the lovely Waterstones staffage.
After the signing I was knackered from all the waiting I had done and even Red Bull didn't seem to have any effect on me which is strange. Although after a while I was starting to feel pretty hyperz.
I went to Primark for new jeans and came out of the changing rooms with a red face because it was so warm. I then fell over whilst picking up my phone which I had dropped on the way out of the shop. It really was funny.
Then I had the best hot chocolate in a long while. Then I went home and sorted my internetz out, after I made a tea of sausage pasta thing which was nice. And now you are putting up with this which might be nice for you, I don't know. Anyway, I'll be off now. Laterz...

I've been watching Season 2 of Heroes and I've got up to the bit where we find out who Adam is. So don't read if you haven't seen it but are watching...
How is it possible he is Takezo Kensei?!
In 1671 he is killed when the gun tent sets alight which is weird as his power is regeneration. Did he manage to heal himself and continue living forever?
He left Peter a note that gave the impression they were friends during the missing 4 months of Peter's life. Could Peter have perhaps gone back in time, met him and brought him to 2007? Or did Hiro go back for him? Perhaps it was just the regeneration thing.
Meanwhile, Noah Bennet wants the family to move away again after Claire is 'exposed' following the cheerleader incident which was printed in the newspaper and Molly Walker is awake.
